Born amongst the oil filled sand hills in the town of Andrews Texas, Scott's family was involved in the oil and gas business for more than 40 years. As a young child, his family moved to a natural gas plant southwest of Amarillo. Scott quickly became interested in the neighbors farming operation. He began working with his family's neighbor and close friends, the Schniederjans. Upon graduating from high school in 1993, Scott moved to Dalhart and has been involved in ag business ever since. He is currently employed by Douglas Lathem Farms.
