Troy was born in Dumas, Texas and lived in Dalhart until 1981. He returned to Dalhart where he graduated and has lived for the past 20 years. Troy worked for XIT Feeders & Coronado Feeders for several years before being hired by the Union Pacific Railroad. Troy has been with the railroad for the last 11 years where he is currently an engineer. Troy and his wife Keitha have two children; Gavin (16) and Galen (12). Troy is responsible for Concessions, and this is his third year on the XIT Rodeo Board of Directors.
